I dislike dragonball GT and that overlacking April Fools is the biggest stuff I ever heard
it's not that the story is compatible. Its one and the same thing. Toriyama wrote 1 manga called Dragonball. But for some reason the american release publishers decided to split it up into 2. And that's what we know now under Dragonball and Dragonball Z.
It's actually toei who did that for the anime counterpart. Much like they are releasing it again under the Kai name now. All marketing Bread and Spaghetti.

My sympathies to him then. Personally I could never stand watching the English dub. Felt to corny to be watchable.

Indeed, the English dub is like listening to screeching harpies. I'm over watching Dragon Ball Z on my PC, done that way too many times to enjoy it. I just watch Kai every once in a while when it's on TV. 4Kids should rename to 4Shame.

I agree with the "Kai" thing.......I think that if it was going to be that filtered and horrible...then they shouldve made a whole different storyline

it's not filtered ^^
They just removed everything that has no relevance to the manga. Though I agree the could have made better edits, rather than just a cut and paste job, but that's 10 minutes of screaming I can do without ^^;

that's 4kids.
The original is not filtered in the least. So you can't blame the show for those zippy TV houses.
I mean they put water pistols into shows instead of gunz and they colored Mr Popo in blue.

I Agree qith you Graga....it looks really ill-advised when frieza gets cut by his disk and you se him scream and then his scream is cut and it goes straight to the part where he's already layind down
edit:it's not like they're in such a hurry to make it...they can take 2 extra minutes to just fill in the Gross parts

But the Toei releases themselves are not filtered. So my point still stands. Its just zippy TV houses.
And I have no idea what you can or can't see on 4kids. I'm not from the US >.<

I think it's the same stuff with a different name. No better, no worse, just missing some discomforting moments that happened because Dragon Ball Z was made via "Hey lets turn 20 manga pages into 20 minutes for the anime" mentality.
