Anyways, what does the bots do? They only do a post saying hi, I'm a nerd, is this in the right forum? I don't know it because I'm a bit intellectually lacking

They are spamming to make other people angry because those who use them are lacking

Chances are these are "scout" bots, bots which go around posting on as many forums as they can to find which ones are vulnerable using pretty inconspicuous accounts and posts. This gives the spammers a good reference point for where they can make full fledged spam attacks.
Also, these bots specifically tend to link to spam sites in their profiles, however as the profiles here are so cut down they don't populate it.
