songoku see the cridits I gave to darklink for this model Razz , also I modified tem a lot espicially the frieza I will post in 1 day , until ten guesss who is this *intense laughter* , anbd updatz for Namek map , I intend to make tis Namek look fimmiliar to the tb Namek of course I can't get it that good but still will try my best

That texture is actually pretty bad (no offense).

It's repeating the same basic tile over and over again, a feat which can be accomplished by the engine as well. It makes absolutely no sense to upload such a huge texture when only a fraction of it would lead to the same result.

Your texture is basically this:
+-*/+-*/+-*/+-*/
+-*/+-*/+-*/+-*/
+-*/+-*/+-*/+-*/
+-*/+-*/+-*/+-*/

While this:
+-*/

Can be turned into the same using the engine, while approximately using 1/16 of the memory.


EDIT:
okay, I actually took a minute to test it out, the approximation should even be 1/32, since you're repeating the same texture 32 times.

Your image is 2.17 mb, my reversal of your tiling at the same quality (resolution != quality, unless you're stretching a texture, but in this case you're tiling it so resolution doesn't matter) results in 40kb, that's actually a lot better than even the approximation.

That has nothing to do with the resolution of the texture, it can be controlled by the shader and/or the person uvmapping it.

Jens is right. Have a look at the landing grass shader, Konan.

The keyword you're looking for to control tiling is tcMod scale.

updatz!! I worked 5 min more on it , could make it better but my tools in 3ds max such as , rotate , size, and move are not working properly the icons are not apearing like the arrows for moving I can only move it left right and can't get it up , help trl or anyone!!!!!!

You said you worked 5 minutes on it, why would anyone even care? It's not like you spent a huge effort on it or made any major changes.

If you're looking for comments my last one is still valid, it still looks artificial, not only the shape of the individual islands but all of them together. Way to close to each other, all exactly the same height, all coming out of the water in the same angle and everything totally flat.

Do you even have any reference shots of Namek? I don't remember ever seeing any constellation like that, it just doesn't look like it.

Look at the header of this forum for a quick reference on how to do it right. The terrain has a lot of waveforms, occasionally a dirt patch and alternating height.

Here's some more references a quick Google search revealed further illustrating my point:

You clearly see that the foremost island is almost on water-level, while in the background there's suddenly a steep angle where it comes out of the water with a medium cliff. The island to the left is even higher and doesn't have "beach access".

This picture is similar to the first, but you can even see the header-like waveforms on the terrain and that every place where something goes high up you have the islands coming out of the water like this:
