So that sphere is planet Vegeta?
Why don't you make the map very high and add planet Vegeta on the ground with the atmosphere changing into space. That way you can also add the freeza base on planet Vegeta.

or you can map the ship and the planet separate and then use netradiant to put a transporter some where.

or he can make the planet with the ship and then if you enter ship you can teleport to earth ^^ it would be nice if they make a big map out of small ones... like in the anime and by the way there's a dragonball mode and they did that

It should take a lot longer to get into space. And I'm not sure but I think the sky gradually becomes darker going into space. Anyone got any idea about that. Never flew with a space ship before.
