well just wanted a litte discussion
when ZEQ2 released in 2009 it was the best game ever
but just before that bid for power 4 released to give some competition
Earth Special Forces with all features has a lot too offer
But the real challenge for ZEQ2 is the final Earth Special Forces
I hope da Public Beta 2 releases soon

final Earth Special Forces is not a challenge for ZEQ2 , ZEQ2 will be thrown aside like nothing. for for example:
ZEQ2= Super Saiyan
Earth Special Forces final =gogetassj4
ZEQ2 can only challenge Dragon Ball source

I mean what is the source of stupidity? The fact that they compare ZEQ2 with Earth Special Forces?

Why you still comparing it? They're different games. There's not a better one. Maybe a guy prefer ZEQ2 and other guy prefer Earth Special Forces. It depends of people's taste

It's ZEQ2-lite.
It's also kind of sad that since Earth Special Forces hired a new effects guy who made some nice looking new effects and added bloom. Everyone goes: "WAAAAAH BEST Dragon Ball Z GAME EVER ITS LIKE BURST LIMIT AND RAGING BLAST!!!", without even having played the game.
Not all that shines is gold. Sad that so many people still get fooled by that.

ZEQ2 wasn't released, ZEQ2-lite was, however. Do NOT in any case refer ZEQ2-lite as ZEQ2 and vice versa. This might lead to a great confusion over the forum.

Well I hope that it doesn't have only 3 characters and 1 map like other mods I know >_>

Everyone knew he was talking about ZEQ2-lite even when he said ZEQ2

When someone says the name of a game I'm supposed to automatically know he was talking about a DIFFERENT game?

So you'd rather they waited another year to release so they could've made more content?
Be grateful you get to play it in such an unfinished state. It's like you are all playing an early teambuild already.

Imagine if all mods did this, release a beta to get someone hyped than wait a year (and going) for the next update. It would had been better if they waited to release a beta with both quantity and quality.

The intention was to spark interest and attract people to help developement, which succeeded. It was never intended to be actually playable.

You stole my coding style! :O
Heh, Alex was planning to an Eclipse based project containing ZEQ2-lite's compilation source code a while ago, although I tried with NetBeans IDE and it was an easy process to set up (all I had to do is import it from the Makefile and voila).
As for the MinGW/msys toolsets, can't live without them.

Exactly. A lot of people fail to realize that ZEQ2-lite Public Beta 1 is a PROTOTYPE and not a functional game (there aren't even any gameplay modes / objectives for combat for crying out loud).
The concept is more akin to a technical demo of the concept than anything else at this stage. As mentioned, the whole purpose was attract interest and developers. It's just an offshot fluke that some people actually choose to try and play it a game.
