Seriously, what's the point of making a 1:1 copy of these forums? You intend to make a mod and aren't even able to slap an original header image together?
It's very unlikely that you'll have bugs (okay maybe if you love up shader scripting), contributors, addons or fan projects.

I already asked them that on their forum, no reply yet. The exact same mod with different content in it. Nothing is different dude. Making a forum for an addon is a waste of time and just silly, just saying.

I won't help you, because (while I think it's admirable that you at least tried to contribute at some point) you don't seem to have any idea what you're doing and your whole concept is completely pointless (to me).
There is already a ZEQ2 Lite, forking another game off of it at this point, when your own team clearly lacks the necessary expertise to even pull off the most basic things is just not a good idea and is completely against the idea behind open development.
Instead of contributing to the original project, which would've been best done by individually releasing your maps/models as soon as they were done so people like Dave could review them and maybe help you get them up to a point where they could even be bundled with the official release, you create a second game missing out on the LARGE updates to ZEQ2 Lite and on all the high quality content we have here (unless of course you keep ripping any piece of content released here and put it into your mod, but then AGAIN it is pointless to fork off because there'd be NO difference at all other than making everything more complicated for fans and developers).
What's the scope of your project anyway? I've never seen a single word which even explains why you need to make it a pack, let alone an individual Dragon Ball Z mod.
Right now you're just dividing an already small fanbase and your team won't stand a chance when competing with ZEQ2 Lite.
To me so far you're just some weird control fruitcake who justifies his position by making a hemisphere in Max (Kuririn) and MAYBE pull out a vert (Namek house).
Maybe it's due to me not hanging around on IRC, but I've never seen any reason why someone like Baldwin who could really make meaningful contributions with some more guidance would even listen to you when you clearly have no idea of game development yourself.

don't really think there was a need for the insults about the team void (so be a little more quiet)
let us do our own thing............. we really don't want to impose anything and we don't need this criticism we would appreciate it if you only had good things to say. void what your saying will not be though about twice and even if you think that its pointless its helping us learn so leave us be
and just so you know we aren't competing that's not our goal
I personally think your an awful dev or whatever you are because you have insulted us for no reason when you could have simply said good job guys or something like that we have no intention of competing,we only wish to make a cool mod and we making a website for it is just a cool idea so please stop insulting us.

How does it help you to learn? As I already said, you divide the fanbase (and I guarantee you your fraction will be much smaller and less talented/experienced).
Or in other words if you would've kept posting here and released stuff as soon as it's done it'd reach the complete ZEQ2 Lite community and especially the more experienced developers who in turn would surely give advice to help you improve.
As for insults to the team, I only stated my opinion and I specifically said that Baldwin was pretty good actually (don't know who exactly is on the team and I don't care either, I guess TRL isn't else he would've certainly been mentioned too).
You clearly have (some) talent on your team, don't let it go to waste like this, because a 12 year old thinks he can create another Earth Special Forces or whatever. ;x
Oh and I'm not a "dev", I'm a contributor and only speak for myself. This is the internet and you'll have to live with other people's opinions.
And just so you know, of course you're competing when you make your "own game" out of it. Someone like Domitjen (and whoever else is actively playing this) will have to choose if he wants to play ZEQ2 Lite or ZEQ2 Lite Reloaded, both at the same time doesn't work if you fork off.

okay I see what your saying and I have already explained to najeeb that we are not making our own game so please disregaurd that I did not mean to get disrespectful honestly I do accept your collection of unsupported data but for a better view of what we are doing
we are just making a cool website not anything special just something to do with the mod we re doing

Like I said, You're not making a mod of anything you're simply taking the same game and changing it's content nothing about that makes it IT'S own mod.
Also I seem to remember you agreeing with what void said not a week ago, you were going on and on about how Baldwin should be the leader of the team and Najeeb doesn't know what he's doing. All the sudden you've had a change of heart? Odd.

and it is a modification of the game you fool I justed used mod for short we aren't simply just changing content we have added our own but I'm not going to continue this argument.

You aren't angering me at all and you don't seem to understand the meaning of the word competition.
Google made the Nexus One, which is direct competition to the iPhone. Just because to you it isn't about being better doesn't mean anything in relation to the point I made.
I fail to see how it can be that hard to understand. Once ZEQ2 Lite Reloaded releases and is incompatible with ZEQ2 Lite (which it'll be according to the sparse information you have revealed) any fan will have to choose which game he wants to play.
If you would just release your stuff and contribute it to ZEQ2 Lite, this would NOT be the case. Then everyone could play with other people and choose from a much larger, combined set of characters and maps.
So again, I ask you, what is the scope of your project? I have yet to see any post regarding the objectives of your mod, elaborating on what you will change and why it is necessary to fork off.
I'm probably talking to a wall here anyway, since you guys don't seem to understand the basics, but let me be very clear here:
The source you intend to work off (Also known as Beta 1) only supports the MD3 model format.
Future models of ZEQ2 Lite will be in an all-new zMesh model format.
Unless you have a pretty good coder (and you don't seeing as he thinks he'll be able to code C in roughly a year), you will not be able to make any meaningful changes and as such even if you add new models and maps you will NOT be able to:
a) use the new models
b) use the new renderer and thus it is likely that the new maps, attacks etc can't even work in your mod even if you did try to rip them off
c) have all the bugfixes done to the game code
So, where will you be IN A YEAR? You will have ZEQ2 Beta 1 and Baldwin's map, maybe 2 or 3 characters and that's it, probably 10 people playing and that's assuming all your team members stay on the team. Fans? Doubtful, there's always ZEQ2 Lite which'll just seem more fun to them.
Where will ZEQ2 Lite be in a year? It'll probably be at Beta 3 or 4 or a stable release with additional content by fans. Will be played by pretty much everyone, maybe even including your team.
Where would a hypothetical ZEQ2 Lite be where you don't play your weird games? It'd have everything I mentioned above COMBINED. So a better game for everyone.
But I'll grant your wish and stop replying here, I was just trying to talk some sense into you so you'd actually end up with your content getting used and a better game for everyone. In a few days you guys'll probably realize it anyway.

Then tell me what you don't understand? Maybe there's even a misunderstanding within your team.
Basically from what I can gather your plans are the following:
- Take everything that makes up PB 1
- Add your own content to it, for example Baldwin's map
- Do some unannounced changes to the PB 1 code
The last point, the changes to the PB 1 code, are what I refer to with forking. Everything was the same at one point, but then you split the source up into effectively two versions.
I don't know which part you want to change as you never actually announced what your goals are, but it must be obvious to you, that if you would add code to walk on water (just an example) and we here at ZEQ2 Lite would add the ability to walk on walls instead the versions would no longer work with each other (in very layman terms, one "game" wouldn't know that you can walk on water while the other wouldn't know anything about the walls).
Over time the differences will increase and even if both teams tried to catch up with each other it'll just be messy to coordinate and we here have ~5 people who are VERY experienced coders while you have a single one who MIGHT (truth is he won't) be able to do something in a year. Do you realize what 5 people can do within a year? Beta 1 looks like a joke compared to what ZEQ2 Lite SVN is capable of even now and in A YEAR you'll just get to start.
So it'll take 1+ years for anyone outside of your team to even get to play with your stuff and then it'll be uninteresting cause it's still in the state of Beta 1 (since YOU said coding would start in a year).
I hope at least this part is clear now.
So, let's consider the other option which I have tried to explain several times now:
You each release your stuff individually, that doesn't mean you can team up on it.
If Baldwin's map would be finished in a week, release it in a week and everyone including yourself can enjoy playing it with lots of people in only a week (as opposed to a year). People will find bugs, make suggestions and maybe even contribute stuff (as TRL is constantly doing) which will make his map even better.
Who knows, maybe it'll be good enough in time to actually become part of the official download link for beta 2 or 3 if he allows this.
The same would of course be true for ANY content your team produces.
Essentially what I'm suggesting is that you work together with the ZEQ2 Lite team/community instead of working on your own.
Zeth is a very open-minded guy when it comes to all this. I'm pretty sure even if you'd suggest gameplay changes (which would be the only valid reason for a mod) he'd consider them.
And if it doesn't get integrated into ZEQ2 Lite "officially" you can still pack up all the final versions of your work and make a nice little pack with custom menu art and all that, changing all the looks to your likings but at the same time STILL being able to play with others who do not want a changed menu, but just enjoy your models etc.
