I'm trying to create a server with these settings:
Server Name: Sabukos Server
KO Limit:50
Time limit:0
Powerlevel:37280
Pure Server: On
Dedicated: Internet

And each time I see blocks of texts and I try passing on the server link so players can join my server, but this shows up in red text during process.

FATAL: Can't open maps/LANDING.aas

I tried re-downloading ZEQ2 Lite -Twice- or maybe more, and it still happens.
Can someone please help me?

That message is nothing to worry about, all it means is that there's no Area Awareness System data available for LANDING. As far as Quake 3 Arena and ZEQ2 Lite are concerned this file is only really used when playing with bots, in other words all this message means is that you can't play with bots on the map.

You didn't really tell us what your problem is either. Wink

I'm going to assume the game works fine for yourself, but your friends can't join it. If that's true it's either related to you giving them the wrong ip address (LAN instead of WAN) or if you're behind a router setting up port forwarding properly.

First problem is easily solved by looking up your ip here: http://whatismyipaddress.com/
Second problem requires you to configure your router. You will need to find out your LAN ip address and forward port 27960 (if memory serves right) to it.

Oh right p.p
Everytime I always want to host, the server runs but players can't join and I don't know how to fix the problem.
I checked firewall settings/connection and they are fine. all I need is what can I do my server can be public? since my server is only "local" to those around me or something...

1. Please post your ip address here.
2. Describe your hardware setup, from wall to computer (for example wall -> dsl modem -> router -> pc).
3. What firewall are we talking about? Software on your computer like ZoneAlarm or Windows Firewall or a dedicated piece of hardware like a modem/router?

Go here http://portforward.com/ then find your router type then pick the game you are playing, in this case Quake 3. Then just follow the steps they provide, it's very simple. I used this site when I wanted to host on Warcraft III, Diablo II (expansion) and everything worked perfectly on my first try.

I'm pretty sure this is what your problem is unless you already port forwarded.

Wow that's a really nice website there.

This seems to be a nice little tool to check if your configuration is working. Just start your server, tab out and check if udp port 27960 is listening.
