I do realize this thread is going to start some stuff talking but isn't that fun sometimes? *intense laughter*

Anyway, I wanted to know who prefers PlayStation 3 or XBox 360.

I for one have my reasons why I love my PlayStation 3 to death. I could say why I dislike the 360 but I won't. I'm not going to start the stuff talking. If you anyone wants then go ahead. *intense laughter*

You have good reasons. =3

I have more reasons why I love my PlayStation 3 & dislike the 360.

360:

1. The failure rate of the console is over 53% & it red rings to death.

2. The exclusives aren't exclusive if they are on PC. Plus most of the games blow rooster. =S

3. You have to pay to play online which I already pay internet company money.

4. The 360 eats your DVDs.

5. It over heats all the time.

6. Took Microsoft 5 years to make a slim version that might play better then the older version.

7. No internet browser.

8. Cheap hardware.

9: Most of their games are highly overrated. With a lot of fan boys.

10. Online service vacuums. Too many immature people play the console online. Cussing all the time & little kids.

PlayStation 3:

1. Internet browser.

2. Plays Blu-Ray movies.

3. Blue-Ray disks are hard as heck to break.

4. The failure rate for PlayStation 3 is 2%.

5. Our exclusives are only on our console & not PC.

6. Free online play.

7. Blu-Ray disks can store up to 50 GBs.

8. We have better graphics. (Note that graphics don't make the game or the gameplay better.)

9. It can use PC controllers & they work for any game.

10. Sony doesn't rip you off.

11. Great hardware.

12. You can look at happy time photos on your PlayStation 3. *intense laughter*

10. Your missing the point. If I play online I don't want to hear kids cursing all the time on the game I'm playing & bashing me over lacking stuff. I'm trying to say is. The online community vacuums.

Also how can you say any of these statements when you haven't played either one of these consoles? I've played both of them & I own a PlayStation 3. My friend & cousin own a 360. Honestly I'm not impressed with the console at all. I've seen what that plastic can do.

Also I love Nintendo games. & please don't bring a console in that I never brought in the 1st place. =S

Well I'm a PlayStation 3 guy to,owning a 360 when I have a PC sound pretty lacking in identifiable function unless I really want some 360 exclusives which I don't (HALO Reach no thanks) plus that it has the bad habit to RROD and I don't like when a hardware brakes on me.

Well kids on the 360 are a HUGE problem believe me,I played some HALO 3 at one of my friend's place and guess what?A bunch of 10 year olds came at the server and started to swear through those head sets like heck over the fact that they can't play for stuff stating that I and other people on that server are hacking a f'ing console game...what the heck,do you know how discomforting is to hear squinky voices swearing while you play a game?There are kids on the PlayStation 3 to but the PlayStation 3 doesn't come with a head set so that's a relief.

Oh and on the cheap hardware well it is true,did you know that if you move the console 1 tiny bit it goes berserk and scratches the disc?

heck the new 360 even has a sticker on the front saying "DO NOT MOVE THE CONSOLE WHILE PLAYING!11!!" and that is one big buttocks fail.

In my mind it sounds like this "hello we are Microsoft and we love money so we make poor man's things so it brakes and you have to buy it 10 times!"

With the rood being the biggest issue,don't tell me that a huge corporation can't fix onw slam problem,the fact is that they don't want to.

If I wanted to chat online I'd use Skype & get a microphone. or I'd buy one for my PC. But I'm there to play the game. Not to talk. The only reason why I would use a head set for my PC is to talk to my friends in my KillZone 2 game & plan our attack. Its faster & easy. This way we could win the match better.

That is the only reason why I would use a head set. If I want to talk to someone I'll use my cell phone or microphone & go on skype. =D

Most PlayStation 3 owners are older & mature.

Keyword here people. I said "MOST".

Well duh. Of course the PC owns when it comes to games. I only got my PC for the loving exclusives, *laughing out loud*. I'm a huge PC gamer.

But you can't compare the consoles to the PC. Consoles don't stand a chance at all.

Yeah but Uncharted 2 looks amazing!I got the PlayStation 3 for its amazing exclusives and for the Dragon Ball Z games of course.

I dislike at the PC that there is always the risk that a game won't work on it,I buffed up my PC so hard that it can play most of the modern games.I put around 1000$ in it...I;m not kidding although I didn't "Evolve" it in one shot I did it over time.

If somebody got Xbox for birthday/easter/christmas etc..than he say good things bout Xbox, and if somebody got PlayStation 3 than he do the same with PlayStation 3!

Or somebody got Nintendo Wii and he say: oh Xbox and PlayStation 3 both su***, I have better!

So its all doodle**n uuseless fight, cause peoples clear mind stoled by the buyed/gifted hardware, and he can't se over the reality.. :/ to sad

If you want the best: YOU ARE AN leaping lizard.
You can't buy/get the best, there is noo best..not AMD, not Intel(I know we not talk bout processors right now), but I hope you get what I want..its just all intellectually lacking, ask yourself bout what is the best..

1st off I bought my PlayStation 3 with my own hard earned cash that I worked for & at the time I knew pretty much nothing about the PlayStation 3 & 360. That was a year ago. I soon researched both consoles up & found out many things.

The things I stated about the 360 are 100% true. I don't talk stuff & don't back it up. That's what a fan boy does. When it comes to the PlayStation 3 & 360. Which are almost the same. The PlayStation 3 is the better console. The 360 is the down graded version. You clearly don't know what the love you are talking about.

I also stated my reasons why I like the PlayStation 3 more & they are all true also. Why would I want to buy a piece of stuff that fails more then 53% of the time? Think about it. If you do research on the 360 & PlayStation 3. You'll see that I'm right.

Also Nintendo has nothing to do with this. Yes I like the Wii. I think its a neat console & it does something different. I grew up with Nintendo.

Anyway, I have to go to bed & I'm done proving you wrong. Good night.

Get a Mac!

Oh wait, it's very similar to the PC itself. Only made by many different companies, while one of them strictly controls what hardwares to be implemented. Think of the Mac hardware as.. consoles. PlayStation, PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, Xbox, Xbox 360, GameCube, Wii, and so forth. Games are mainly made for the Windows operating systems that are installed in almost every PC worldwide, hence they mistakingly report it as a PC-game, instead as a Windows-game.
There are third-party companies, that mainly spend their investment to port out certain Windows-only games for Mac OS X and Linux.

Of course, there are issues that are dictated solely by the money itself. A company produces games, but let's say Microsoft contacts them, and after the meeting is over, the CEO gets sudden change of heart all because Microsoft gave them a high amount of money to make their games exclusive to Xbox 360.

Valve is a leading game developer company, which mainly targeted PC's first hand, but also got Xbox 360 ports easily ready almost the same time as the Windows counterpart. They even ported a few games to the Mac platform, while the Linux port is under works as well.
They refused to port out games for the PlayStation 3, because they just found it extremely tough and inefficient, not to mention they just said it's a crappy port and gave it to Electronic Arts to work with it. The best platform for Source games currently is on PC, then Xbox 360, then PlayStation 3. As I said, either money motivates X and Z companies to NOT to port their games to a different platform, and just make it exclusive to only one, or technical difficulties (platform limitation, service capabilities, relationship with the companies itself), and many more.

I dislike about M$ that they have lots of money to buy off game developers and stuff but they don't have money to invest in repairing the Xbox's issues for example.

I pretty much meant how they make a few, but "finely crafted" Macintosh models and that they have total control and support over they hardware. Pretty much how consoles are being dealt nowadays. Haha, don't get excited! I never even made a statement about their pricetags. Of course everyone can afford 4 PC's that are really high tech, instead of one latest Mac Pro series computer.
