Is there a way too make ZEQ2 mod more realistic where you punch some one through a mountain or building. Shooting a Kamehameha through a building leaving it half destroyed.

When some one blasted in the ground it makes a big crater

yes it is possible but it's not easy.if you wait for the newer releases, they will probably include this.

ut I don't know if even any one attempt to even think about it.

Like Earth Special Forces 1.3 when you send someone in to a building, it only leaves a crack. It would be raw if that were in side a building.

video games like Grand Theft Auto or call of duty it took them years where you can see bullets holes in a car.
most likely they didn't think about it till later and bet it was some thing easy to do, but for mod it might take a while unless you want to make it one of you're goals.

Dude you should really learn about bump mapping and decals ^^;

Decals have nothing to do with this. He wants destructible environments/terrain deformation, drawing a decal with a crack over it, doesn't make half of a building disappear and certainly doesn't let you dig a hole through the ground by continously firing at the same spot.

As for this feature, it's safe to assume you won't see it in the next few years. It would be a big surprise to me if there's any programmer around willing to do this and as a matter of fact it doesn't seem like a lot are around anymore other than Brad, Jaden and me.

He was talking about an Earth Special Forces like effect leaving a crack in the floor. Decals and normal maps.

He didn't say that, he actually said that Earth Special Forces does NOT have what he wants.

Not like Earth Special Forces would do the following either.

When some one blasted in the ground it makes a big crater

Well if you can do a modify like: after hit a object like house, tree, car etc with a beam, and than the game will change the model to a half destroyed version well than yeah you can do it but its all uuseless..

And destroy the map is more uuseless thing, why you need destroy the map elements?

Like that: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ws53arK6j7w

Something I made with the 1.2.3 version of Earth Special Forces. Got to love the Half-Life entities eh *intense laughter*

In any case, its possible to do it with our new map format. But most likely it won't happen. To much work to get it working correctly.
