New images
I'm not to sure what to think about this yet.
That yellow bar at the bottom makes me think of the mechanic they had in Dragon Ball Z legends where you had the fighting balance that only tipped over when you were fighting good and then you could deal damage. Could be anything though.
Edit:
And a scan.

You're such a weird person. Why would you make up such a thing?

All Dragon Ball Z games that ever existed were first made in Japanese and then translated to English. If you haven't seen it before, it's because it's new. No need to make things up.

Really check out the official site with videos for all characters!
What I love most about this game is the impressive maps. They are the most accurate to the show I've seen them so far in any game. Look out for the Saiyan duel map, the colors are exactly right.
Second best thing is the character outfit customization. Piccolo with saiyaman's helmet and Yamucha's baseball outfit!

Totally.
The game designer really look inspired. What I kind say for dimps or spike for that matter.
by the way, forgot to post the link.

They even have chiaotzu!
Also I'm baffled by the way the Raditz landing map looks, really like in every ref I've seen of it.

I don't know if anyone realized, or care, but the game is out, and the Japanese rom is out, so those with the Nintendo DS Emulator or R4 is in luck.
Game is pretty sweet, but they recycle a lot of the Dragon Ball Origins bgm for cutscenes, but other than that, the fighting system is good. Except I have difficulty with blocking, I thought it was automatic, and then I thought it was (down) or (L), and it's pretty confusing. You guys can figure it out though.

Wrong. There are a few Snes titles that never got translated or released outside Japan.

I think TRL's point was that Dragon Ball Z games do not typically originate as English games and thus are predominantly "ported" with translation.

Yeah I kind of worded it wrong I guess.
This game has a pretty good cast of characters with the icing on the cake...
King Kai!
Check out the rest of them:
http://www.bandaigames.channel.or.jp/list/ds_dragonball_kai/chara.html#
Grega, you'll be glad to see that Bardock, Gogeta and Brolli are the only non manga characters in this game. Ah wait scratch that, Toriyama adapted Bardock into his manga.

If a game is good, then I don't care if it has teletubbies as part of the character roster. With games I take gameplay and how much I enjoy its mechanics over the whole what its based on thing.
