is ZEQ2 dead? because I haven't seen any updates in a while only mods people have made and posted them selves so can I have an answer. Is this dead

no ....this is serious....like I understand like 2 months but it's been over half a year!!! and they could have possibly posted a little update!! this is just about to die if it's not dead

well... you can help the community, the public beta 2 is just a fan project, them are working in good stuff like other characters, attacks and deleting the bugs so... wait I mean you are all the day in the computer? maybe that is the reason why you can't wait... you need a life and you will see how the public beta 2 not will be all in your life... anyway why now the threads are about the same? (the public beta 2) if you want to see something new in this game you can help working in addons or just don't post anything because is boring and annoy1ng see all this post about this issue...

listen....I've asked so many people about tutorials for characters and maps and I simply haven't got them you can't just develop skills .... like really there some people that usually do that stuff anyway and that's not me I just can't its too complicated...now unless someone wouldtake the time to teach me...(which no one will..and I don't blame you because everyone has a social life)then its going to be hard for me just to develop skills

If you choose modeling(mapping/character making)then
1) Pickup a copy of Blender3d here http://www.blender.org/download/get-blender/
2) then read some tutorials (just get the basics that will be enough )

3) read the mapping tut here

4) or if you wanna make characters then there are tons of quake 3 based tutorials just google it

Skills come from practice. And with what you said right there I gather this much.
"I want everything on the fly and I quit if I can't have that result"
that's the mentality of a quitter. If you really want to learn something forget everything you ever saw and start from scratch going one step at a time and not comparing how your creations look compared to ones that area already out.
Everyone can acquire skills. Some faster, some slower. But simply giving up and saying you can't makes you a quitter. And nothing good comes from that.

The only viable excuse to not be able to develop modding skills is being mentally lacking. In any other case it's just plain laziness.

suckapunch I understand how you feel
people actually want to give you an answer of the release date but each person had been told by someone else that be patient it will come out when its done{when they asked}
so now they are also saying the same thing to you,They too are dying to get a news update or the release date
no one will be on you're side here because they have also been asked to contribute.at least 5-10 users had protested to find out a release date in a topic a long time ago and answers are given

To finish this discussion. "Public Beta 2" is a FAN-MADE release. So if it's not out yet, then that is because there are not enough people trying to CONTRIBUTE to it. A SMALL group of people are working on it, and trying to release something new as soon as possible, but it's just a SMALL group of people. If 1/5th of this community helped in some way or the other, you would see a release every month if not every week. So instead of asking, just start learning something. Modeling, mapping, rigging, animating, texturing... As said above, there are MANY MANY tutorials on the internet, and there are a couple of good ones here as well. Just start, learn something new.
Example: Imagine you live alone in a house and you are hungry. You have food in your fridge but you are just looking at it, and you don't want to move and open it. Then you start telling everybody that you are going to starve because there is no food. There is food, you just need to reach it.
