I have on my grandmother's PC this thing as well. it's just a fact that you're PC's RAM is not enough for the game. So you must buy another PC or exit some programs which are running.

I had the same error and had resolved it with editing the zeq2config.cfg file :
Search for the line where it says
com_hungMegs 768
and change it to 512
