I don't know how to word this, I loaded a character(3ds file), and went to animate them, I took it off of figure mode and wanted to move him, I was able to move him up and down, but I couldn't move him left, right, back or forward.. I checked the "hierarchy settings" and everythings unlocked, can anyone please help me?? I need to animate this guy for one of my finals for class

I think I know exactly what your issue is, but I'm not sure if I can explain it without the program open in front of me...
Basically, there's a button in the motion settings called "animate in place" or something like that, it's on by default, so you'll need to find that button and unclick it. It should be in the second or third sub-menu, located on the right of the tab, I think the sub-menu is minimized by default, and is called something like "extended options" or something like that... I'll post a screenshot of it when I get home in about an hour...

Was wrong about the name of the sub-menu, it's "Modes and Display", and is a sub-menu for the "biped" menu. Anyways, here's a screenshot of where it is, hope this helps.
