Don't listen to them AnTy, Goten's face has and will always be wide. They're probably talking about the base hair height in contrast to the head.

I made accurate refs for Goten's head in one of mastap's threads once.
Use it and the head will be perfect. 
I see you already did good changes like a rounder cheek and smaller nose.

From what I can see, if the hair is enlarged, it would definitely look much more like Goten.
Baldwin, yes I compared them, and the heads of both look pretty darn similar in size.

Here's a verbal ref. Younger Dragon Ball Z characters usually have larger heads in comparison to their body, and this is lowered as thay age. Also, their chins are much shorter along with their eyes taking up their whole face. The nose is curved like a half-circle too. Oh, before you guys call me a know-it-all, I've been drawing Dragon Ball Z for 10 years now.

It is hard for you to show, the size of the entire character is different in each picture.
