True that.

Just flying around the world on that bird was amazing itself.

This reminds me to go play some more dragon quest games.

That's the Ramia (phoenix) track from Dragon Warrior 3. Didn't realize they'd reworked it in a later game. Although this isn't entirely surprising since things like the Dhama temple made reappearances.

I see a lot more cohesion in the the original Dragon Warrior trilogy as opposed to the later ones, but I've only played up to Dragon Warrior 6 (and only possessed the original 4 on NES growing up). Dragon Warrior 4 certainly had one of the most character-driven plots (based on context and cartridge size) of any games on the original Nintendo.

I built most of my vocabulary and mathematical skills before starting school from this series, actually.

Musically speaking, Dragon Warrior 3 and primarily 4 had the most emphatic variety that I've observed so far (with slight splashes of Dragon Warrior 2). There are plenty of covers/remixes from various sites out there of these titles. I could link a few if anyone is interested.

No kidding?! I learned how to read by constantly replaying The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and the early Pokemon series--oh, and Star Fox 64, too. Nintendo truly was amazing back in the day, huh? Good times, good times... Smile
