Hi, I'm new to these forums and I have several questions on how this community is and the direction of this game/mod.
I'll start off by introducing my self.
My name is Leo I'm a huge fan but didn't really get into anime or cartoons, I pretty much liked Dragon Ball Z and that's it. I still to this day even though I don't watch /GT anymore, I still find myself purchasing and playing any games that comes out on console systems, (Postscript,PlayStation 2,XBOX/360).
I recently tried the new MMO (ONLINE - MMORPG) and personally think it was a complete and utter failure, the game felt restricted in movement and reminded me of other MMORPG's (ROSE ONLINE) and just didn't feel right for a style game.
I recently ran into ZEQ2 Lite a couple day's ago, my youtube account was recommended a that involved so I ran into this website after searching on google "ZEQ2".
After some time playing I concluded this game was fun and I really enjoyed it. I also realized that the people behind ZEQ2 Lite did a very good job on creating a game/mod that really felt like , from the voice's when you do a blast, to the sound effects of charging KI, ascending to a Super Saiyan (and beyond), to the Bruce Falconer music that really brought me back to my child hood.
Game play wise I found it to be interesting and really close to what a Dragon Ball Z game should feel like (Free Roam Flying, Chargeable KI Blast, Sticky Targeting for mêlée, and cross hairs if you choose to not sticky target and use a KI Blast).
Playing yesterday I ran into a ZEQ2 Lite Pack/Mod/Addon called (Dragonball Z EQ Budokai Tenkachi)
I got it from this website:(http://dragonballzgamesforpc.yolasite.com/ZEQ2-lite.php)
-----------------------------------------------------
I guess these are the questions I got for anyone who is willing/can answer my questions.
Is this game still getting updated by the developers? If so is there a estimated time on how long in between are updates?
Can we expect a large map/character expansion later on? (Even if the map/characters don't stick to the Dragon Ball Z lore and the maps are spontaneously random just for fun)
Are there any plans to make maps bigger?
Are there plans to improve the current models?
Are there plans to fix some camera issues when sticky targeting?
Is the ZEQ2 Lite development team involved in projects such as "Dragon Ball Z EQ2 Budokai Tenkachi" to expand on maps/characters?
Can we expect changes to the engine and how mêlée fighting works?
Do you guys take suggestions on improving the game? Although the mêlée is very simple (I still enjoy playing) Is it possible to make Left click's mêlée punches and right click kicks? You can create a hotkey bar like MMORPG's like (WoW) and for example, Ki blast will be 1, (You can spam this to do multiple blast, people who specialize in blast like Vegeta would shoot out more blast with each press of 1 instead of one he would shoot 3?) Hotkey 2 can be Final Flash even with the cast/animation.
I'm really surprised a small group of developers teamed up together and put together what has been put together. Although simple in many ways (Especially mêlée), I enjoy this and I thank you guys for creating this game/addon or what ever it's considered. It shows the light on the future of a Dragon Ball Z game possibly coming out for PC users that would have a FPS like feel (For KI Blast, shoot anywhere kind of feeling), a MMO/Free Roam like feel (Flying traveling across maps), Sticky Targeting (To help the player on staying on their target during mêlée combat or a direct hit on KI Blast), Unlike big companys like the one's who made Dragonball Online, which inhaled.
Overall I enjoy playing this. I'll find my self playing this to get my "Dragon Ball Z w/ an MMORPG/free roam kind of like feel".
Anyways,
Thanks!

Welcome to the site, SupaTrunks. I am glad you have such interest in this project because, you see, we don't really enough members who can help with development. ZEQ2-Lite is an open-sourced game that asks all addon creators to try their hand at creating new content for the game. You are welcome to do so as well. (Oh, and do not EVER call this project ZEQ2, as ZEQ2 was an entirely different project) Hope to see some good from someone like you.
Is this game still getting updated by the developers? If so is there a estimated time on how long in between are updates?
The game is updated, but not frequently released. Any and all addon creators make up the team, and I don't think the next stable revision will be released until we get all the bugs sorted out.
Can we expect a large map/character expansion later on? (Even if the map/characters don't stick to the Dragon Ball Z lore and the maps are spontaneously random just for fun)
Expansion of content occurs in the addon forum, but few make it to SVN quality, but we are working to get as much SVN quality addons as we can.
Are there any plans to make maps bigger?
Some of the maps from the latest revision are indeed bigger than those from the stable revision, and are being updated in terms of quality as well.
Are there plans to improve the current models?
Improvement of models, textures, functionality, and pretty much everything else is one of the project's biggest priorities I believe.
Are there plans to fix some camera issues when sticky targeting?
Bug fixes are also one of the biggest priorities as well.
Is the ZEQ2 Lite development team involved in projects such as "Dragon Ball Z EQ2 Budokai Tenkachi" to expand on maps/characters?
"Projects" such as ZEQ2 Budokai Tenkaichi are not developed for ZEQ2-Lite, but are compilations of characters and maps and new interface content called addon packs. They have a lot of popularity, and they either create new addons for it or they modify some addons made by others. The team may or may not use some of these addons, depending on the quality of them, but they don't actually put them together for the sake of development, but more for enjoyment for the current revision.
Can we expect changes to the engine and how mêlée fighting works?
There may be some changes to the engine in general, and I may find out pretty soon, but I'm not certain yet.
We do take suggestions, but not requests. However, not all suggestions will be implemented, so keep that in mind.

But welcome.
Zeq2lite is a project that thrives on spontaneous brilliance.
*laughing out loud* Straight I guess who's in charge around here!
Brad would be the one calling most of the shots for development direction(He's also known as Bradless on IRC, or Zeth here on the forums), but there is no actual dedicated development team currently. Just fans who are willing to contribute to keep things going and getting better.
Improvements of all sorts are still "planned" but there's no time table for anything specific.
And yes, welcome to the game/forums.
