What´s the model of your DSL modem + wi-fi router?
You will need the manual of it to configure your wi-fi Access Point by the internal IP of it.
Please, write your modem model so I can try to help you better.
see you

Mate, what you really want??
I assume you want to use your internet in your home PC and in your Lap-Top, right??
that's why you need Wi-Fi.
So, to do that, follow these steps.
1. Normally connect your PC to the internet.
2. After that, you will need to get the manual of your DSL Modem.
okay. I know your modem is from Verizon Westell, but you need the correct model. For example, Westell VersaLink 327W. The "327W" is the model of the modem.
To find yours, look at your modem. It will probably show you the necessary information.
If, for some reason, you don´t have anymore the manual, please enter in this site:
http://www22.verizon.com/Support/Residential/Internet/highspeedinternet.htm
Search for your modem there.
3. After finding it, there you will also find the Tutorial to setup your Wi-Fi.
If you still don't know how to do it, I'm going to show you another way to configure it.
1. Find in the manual the internal IP of the modem, also called "Default Gateway", which provides you to connect to the internet.
2. After find the internal IP, open your web browser and copy it to the URL bar. It will be like: "http://192.168.0.0"
3. A box will show up to Login to the Setup of your modem.
4. The default login and password, in most cases, is "admin". So set the login as "admin" and also the password with it.
5. If you did it correctly you will enter in the Setup Menu. In most cases, the first page provides you a "Wizard Configuration" that helps you setting up wi-fi.
So just follow the steps.
6. If your modem don't have any Wizard Configuration, you will need to select, in the Wi-Fi tab, the tipe of protocol you are using (in your case, PPoE), also your normal login and password to connect to the internet.
7. After that, name your Wi-Fi lan. For example "WGoldenWarrior"
8.Also, you will need to choose between a public or private Wi-fi.
I recommend you to do a private wi-fi lan.
Assuming you chose the private wifi, you will need to choose an encryption tipe, which can be WEP, WPASK or WPA2.
The highly recommended is the WPA2 key.
Follow the steps in your modem setup to create a password to your Wi-Fi lan.
8. Now, power up your Laptop and try to find your wi-fi. Now you will need to configure it in "Windows".
To do this, just follow the steps over here:

That´s all. I hope you can do it.
