All we have to do is:
1.improve our mêlée system
2.make our players and maps look more realistic
3.bigger maps
4.better looking effects
5.story mode
6.make our transformations more dramatic
7.better gameplay

You have got to be kidding me. Why do people keep comparing ZEQ2Lite with Earth Special Forces?
Anyways,
1.They're working on that.
2.ZEQ2Lite's goal is to be as close to the anime as possible visually so that wouldn't make sense.
3.Namek is pretty huge.
4.They're working on all kinds of stuff for effects according to the tasks list.
5.That wouldn't be too hard to code in if we had bots.
6.I don't know if they're planning anything for that one.
I may have a few things wrong though.

Domo is right...
I'm going to be serious here... ZEQ2-Lite and Earth Special Forces have ALWAYS had different graphical goals, so those will never change. Sorry. However, The mêlée system, map size, Story Mode, effects etc. Is for us as a community to build on/decide depending on how much effort we put into the development .max files.
It's going to look like the anime, period. Other than that, the possibilities are endless.

1.isn't enough good?
2.realistic? that's why I dislike Ultimate Tenkaichi and Raging Blast 2
3.isn't enough big maps there? And you can't hack the Quake3 engine, map sizes are limited..
4.Maybe 3D beams?
5.Hmm..
6.you mean the official transformations?

okay, the list has a few important topics. Care to elaborate your ideas?
1 - What you think would be a great mêlée system? What should we change/add/remove?
2 - How would this make ZEQ2-Lite better than Earth Special Forces? The styles are differents.
3 - What map size are you thinking?
4 - Explain, please.
5 - And how exactly would this work?
6 - How exactly?
7 - What would make the gameplay better?
Share your thoughts with us (in details, please ).

2.disregard
3.the biggest you can make them
4.more Dragon Ball Z style, like more rocks and dust when you charge your power or transform.and the bigger your power is the bigger your aura is. and if you do consider the throwing animation, put craters in the ground when ever someone gets thrown towards the ground
5.like a what if story or let the players play through all of the sagas
6.disregard,same as #4
7.faster game play
just going to add one more
8.more destructible things on the maps, and add sensu beans
other than that ZEQ2 Lite is perfect

1.improve our mêlée system | add a throwing animation
A rewrite is already planned. The current system was never intended to be permanent and always supposed to just be a placeholder as has been mentioned multiple times. Throwing and mêlée aren't directly related systems. Nothing stands in the way of either except needed animations (proper ones).
3.bigger maps |the biggest you can make them
You can use the bsp scale keyword to make maps take an hour to cross if you want. That doesn't necessarily make them better, however. You'd need to populate it with enough content to not seem barren.
4.better looking effects | more Dragon Ball Z style, like more rocks and dust when you charge your power or transform.and the bigger your power is the bigger your aura is. and if you do consider the throwing animation, put craters in the ground when ever someone gets thrown towards the ground
Charging up already has raising rocks, smoke puffs, and shockwave pushes. Decal craters are present, but not activated on map surfaces that aren't specially set up for them. Many additional effects could be added and improved (and are planned to be).
5.story mode
Only really requires proper bot support to execute.
6.make our transformations more dramatic
A more efficient and flexible camera system is underway.
7.better gameplay | faster game play
Elaborate. What areas are not fast enough in regards to the series for you?
-----
As noted previously, community involvement and contribution is pivotal on all of these points.

Quite honestly the only real problem with ZEQ2Lite I have is the weird control scheme. I don't like the mêlée system but As mentioned its a place holder and since I found that out I never brought that argument up again.
I suggest you go over the control scheme. And find a way to simplify things, as some control combinations can be rather confusing.
Like the Jump becomes travel flight and such weird command combinations.
Other than that Keep up the good work.

Other than that Keep up the good work. I like the mêlée part, but I don't like the animations..I mean if you move the character its kind of looks like the character made from paper, there's topics about that, but its still discomforting..paper Goku.

That actually has to do with low-frame count animations and Quake 3's mesh lerping feature. If the animations were padded out, this would not occur.
I suggest you go over the control scheme. And find a way to simplify things, as some control combinations can be rather confusing.
Can you elaborate on specifics?
Like the Jump becomes travel flight and such weird command combinations.
It's non-traditional (compared to Earth Special Forces/Bid For Power), but hardly awkward or confusing. I recommend you reply in this thread.

don't worry Zeth. My beef with the controls kind of goes into an admiration for it at the same time.
ZEQ2 has something no other PC Dragon Ball Z game like this (multiplayer and full range of movement not just 2D) no other has. Few enough buttons to be played with a game pad.
I guess I could have a full look over the key configuration for an extended list if you want :p
@RealDeal Of course I look at this forum. I just don't really post that much ^^
Thing is I'm kind of to based for that.
