Use OpenArena with it. Should work fine.

Bid For Power never released their source code. Even so, it was just using the mod source release (not engine source). That means that a vanilla compiled ioquake3 exe should work fine with it. You'll just be missing the default Quake 3 assets/shaders (which openArena attempts to replace).

Works!
I added some effect like bloom and real-time shadows Smile

1)Why the settings are in

AppData\Roaming\OpenArena\bfpq3\q3config.cfg

??

2)How do I create a standalone game removing Open Arena?

1)Why the settings are in

That's the default location for the user settings in ioquake3. ZEQ2-lite changed this in the source to use the local directory instead.

2)How do I create a standalone game removing Open Arena?

Either recompile it and have it autolaunch the mod directory OR simply copy the contents of the bfpq3 folder in the baseao folder, rename the exe, and change its icon.

Since you seem to be on a rampage to pull up vintage Dragon Ball Z mods, you might as well dig up and find Dragon Ball Quake builds/media.

You can find a bit of information on the old forums. Ignore the false browser report about the lycos links. Additionally, keep in mind that the first post pictures are actually NOT Dragon Ball Quake. Keep reading for media/music and a talk from its creator.

You'll come to see that most Dragon Ball Z developers are in the same pool of acquaintances.

If you could rename the image with Frieza you have as "ZEQ2 (2004)" at least, it'd be much appreciated.

Man... Bid for Power really didn't age that well. I can't even look at the images for more than a few seconds.

you don't understand, the goal is:

Okay? what's the point? It'll still be the same old dull gameplay "experience" that Bid for Power had.

First and foremost to both of you, don't make a post anywhere on these forums unless you actually have constructive input. Neither responses were relative or helpful in any way whatsoever.

That's because you are a superficial ingrate.

Please. Elaborate. Dull in what way? Be SPECIFIC. How do you explain the individuals who still enjoy it?

the animations are different, and the textures are missing..

Did you add the missing shaders? As long as the skin files, textures, and shaders are all in place and named/path'd properly, it should appear just fine. You will need to tweak the shaders and remove any ZEQ2-lite proprietary keywords like outlines, tcgen cel, and lightingUniform. Try something simple like this.

gokuUpperBody
{
   {
      map players/Goku/gokuBody.png
      rgbGen identityLighting
   }
}

Animations are another story. Your best bet is to get the default Bid For Power .bip file and then use the ZEQ2-lite .max files from the SVN, load up their .bip file, ensure the tags are all proper, and then re-export.
