I think people over use them just because once you get hit you can do anything even if you guard and teleport away they well keep firing them at you in till your caught in them... I don't know BUT I just no its really discomforting

You can break free of them, it's only a matter of whether your direction is facing the ki blasts and holding block. It takes some practice, but when you get the hang of it ki storming will no longer be a problem for you.

soulz is not that easy you know, they can teleport from differnt driections anytime, is very hard, earlier I just got hugged by sou; because he was fring ki blast at me *intense laughter* kamahamheha and the ki blast is a good combo *intense laughter*

Hold block to establish some maneuverability first (and a defense). Use Zanzoken up or down to escape the flurry. If you cannot time this, fire back your own volley to match your opponents first before attempting.

That is the point of practice, learn from what I have said plus Zeth's info, don't just hold on to the idea of ki storming to be the ultimate cheap killing move that there is way to stop. Also try pressing C + F while blocking, then teleport up or down that will make the opponent lock off you, thus making you harder to hit.
I know it's easier said than done, but just keep this info in mind and practice and you will get the hang of it.
