None, next gen is probably going to come out soon so it would be kind of pointless. I'd just wait or get a gaming PC. Now if I had to choose one of those, Xbox 360 is better in my opinion.

PlayStation 3 is better, a few reasons

1.Blu-ray disc's work on PlayStation 3
2.Free internet, no need of buying sub's
3.The controllers are 6 axsis, meaning some games would work with the motin of the contrroler
(Example)Burnout Paradise: you can use the controller to move the wheels of the car

now on with the xbox (on how its a horibbly thing to get
1.Chance of red ring of dead (the xbox dies on you)
2.you gotta pay for internet play
3.I heard rumors that the xbox controller has lower battier lenghth

there's a lot more but this is what I got so far

plus xbox HDD have smaller space, no Blu-ray only HD which is not good and popular as Blu-ray.

PlayStation 3:
1. Not much people watch movies on consoles.
2. Free internet but also worse.
3. Controllers may have that motion thing (pretty lacking in identifiable function, it's a PlayStation 3, not a Wii), but Xbox 360 controllers are MUCH more comfortable, at least most people think so.

Xbox 360:
1. None of my friends ever got a RROD, I doubt it's as usual as people say on the webz.
2. *laughing out loud* repeating the same again
3. Big problem...

Xbox is better for Single Player in my opinion, since there are a lot more exclusive titles, better stories for such games, and the best part... ACHIEVEMENTS! In my opinion, achievements sound SO much better than "trophies..." I mean, who would want a virtual trophy? You can't show it off, so they might as well be achievements.

Anyway, PlayStation 3 just doesn't have a comfortable controller grip, in my honest opinion. That's really my only gripe about PlayStation consoles. :\
