I was blown away when I saw it, like really, will I be superman and punching someone into outer space, because if I can do that then I'm getting this game as soon as it comes out

The entire vid seems like an opening cinematic to me.

can't have an opinion based on that alone. But regardless it strikes me as your run of the mill fighter from just that vid.

That was my opinion as well...

Not much of a DC fan(aside from Batman, and an occasional passing interest in Superman), but when it comes to video games, historically, it is very rare for any any DC Comics based games to actually have been good. I think the only ones that could be considered truly successful, are DC Universe Online, and the Arkham games(Arkham Asylum, and Arkham City). Pretty much every other game they have made was terrible or sold very poorly, or as often the case both.

Suffice to say, I'll not be holding my breath, and I'll wait until some other poor sap wastes their money on this gamble and posts a review of the game before I even attempt to poke the game with a twenty foot pole. Some of you folks are probably too young to remember Superman 64(Man I feel old...)... Look it up, it sums up a majority of the history of DC's games...

this new game is very awesome and its being developed by the developers of mortal kombat 9 , the game play videos are out and the cgi scene serves it right

Post a video of it then. Because all I've seen so far are CG cutscenes. And that is by no means gameplay.

1:05 on were ingame models, animations, and camera types shown in a typical block-style fighter game. You can pretty distinctly see the production quality shift between it and the pre-renders shown prior. You don't need a hud to have gameplay shots and surmise the flow of combat. After all, it's not exactly bringing a whole heap of ingenuity and imagination to extending the genre in absolutely any way whatsoever.

That may be true, but that is still not gameplay, unless the game revolves round cinematics people trigger. All those moves are like specials in JRPGs, but the trailer shows nothing of the real gameplay.

I know trailers are supposed to be flashy, but showing nothing but special moves where the only control the player may have is a QTE, is not showing gameplay. Its showing premade scripted events and not actual gameplay.

It doesn't tell me how the game plays it only shows how the game looks when I do a throw or something like that.
