I had download the demo 5-6 years ago
now I downloaded full version of UT1
And I must say its just amazing
*laughing out loud* no story mode just win matches
really good stuff,slam love this old school stuff
got my buttocks handed over to me on mp server 
so 12 years down the line lotta players still playing online+me
Good stuff 9/10 for this baby
anyone played/playing this?

I played it. And for your information they didn't really change the game play all that much through the years.
In all versions so far UT is probably the best arena multiplayer shooter round, because they stuck to the roots of the game.

Correct Quake 3 was awesome. But what they did after that was horrible, where UT stayed true to its origins.

well I feel quake 3 wasn't smooth, I mean the gameplay was really fast compared to UT

Quake 3 and the original Unreal Tournament both have their place in FPS history.
Unreal Tournament had an EXPLOSION of mutators/mods that could be interwoven to create your own unique gameplay experience along with a killer soundtrack by Alexander Brandon & Michiel van den Bos. Quake 3, however, had a much more fast-paced run and gun feel that focused on tight/precision (and therefore competitive) play.
Both had wonderful and lively/interactive bots and basically released around 1999 in competition with one another. I remember getting each demo before settling with Unreal Tournament on my Voodoo 3.
Ironically enough, I never really got into Quake 3 much beyond the demo nor sampled it's mods until much later when Bid For Power released.

Anyway, is it that hard to download a game such as UT99? You hardly need anything other than Google...

True, but the rules state that you're not suppose to discuss anything that might be seen as promoting pirating, nor should anyone be asking for links to illegal downloads, so ESFER25 has a valid point in that you guys are breaking the rules.

Personally, I don't want this site shut down by federal agents like Megaupload was because you people don't know the meaning of the words "stop pirating and/or supporting plundering booty through this site"... Honestly, it's a simple concept that I can't understand how you don't get... Breaking the rules is breaking the rules, no matter how you try to skirt around them through loopholes when you know full well what is intended by them, so stop doing it, or take it elsewhere, we want no part in it...
