SO YEAH I heard domitjen a year ago saying the scoreboard was removed from the build due to it being buggy
so any signs of bringing it back?

The scoreboard was removed because it should have never existed in the first place. ZEQ2-lite was NOT designed with a deathmatch motif in mind and thus frags/kills were not a solid representation of who was "winning". Not only that, but the "score" system that was in place (left over from Quake 3) was rather broken and lacking proper implementation. Even if you did use the previous scoreboard as a basis of contenders, it was a poor reflection of the status quo.
A mockup infoboard area was made (back when the chat/loading areas were reworked) as an optional server-side display of information, but it was not implemented due to lack of mini-icon assets for each character.

There is no current method of taking "score", thus there cannot be a scoreboard. Some type of optional infoboard is a possibility, but only if the required mini-icon assets are created for the current SVN characters.

It's not (directly) about fun. ZEQ2 was created with accuracy in mind. ZEQ2-lite is a branch project that (somewhat) preserves those ideals. In this case, fun is only a byproduct of committing to the design properly.

yeah that would be nice, like its discomforting having to guess how much people are on the server, like, like, I think, like, like you know what I mean, because like....*laughing out loud*
