okay, I have two questions.
I have loaded some characters into ZEQ2lite and when I use certain moves, the camera angle changes. Sometimes to unusable angles.
My two questions are
A) Where in the data files is the part that causes the angle change, so I can fix it?
B) Is there a way I can set it so the camera angle never changes automatically?

A) No fix is necessary. It is a feature, not a bug. Adjust your camera settings.
B) Yes you can change it somehow, either through the in-game menu or CVars. You'd have to ask someone else about that, though.

I don't think you understood. I didn't mean fix as in it is an error, I meant fix as in, change it myself

The thing is, it is an open source project but it still has a "to-do" list. Since this isn't on it, it's a FEATURE. If you fixed it, we would have to add your fix to the latest revision. You could, in theory, "fix" this on your end only, but it would require knowledge you probably do not have and I'm not even sure the amount of work that has to be done would be worth it.

Exactly.
I'm merely asking if it is a section in a data file I can modify or does it just randomly happen with characters.

1. He still did not say he can.
2. He keeps saying "data files", which makes it look like he has no idea of the actual file structure of the game. The fact that he thinks it could happen "randomly" without anyone being able to remove it is another factor here.

data files, files which contain data. When a character is added to the game, you place files (which contain data) into the appropriate folders)
and I did not say it could happen randomly nor that it couldn't be removed.

I could be wrong, but I believe that the camera angle change you're referring to is caused by the camera.md3 file, which uses the default one if no such file exists for a character, which could function poorly for certain addons I suppose.
At least, I think that this is what you're referring to.
To change it, you would need to create your own camera file, which I think is just a series of tags used to orientate the model and camera in-game. You can look at Goku's tier 1 files to get an idea of how it's setup.

So far, I'm kind of lost... The bloppity blip bloop claims that when he uses certain techniques, the camera angle changes? I've never experienced that.
But that aside, it would be helpful to know what addon specifically has this issue. Perhaps almightyk has some skill in making characters playable far from pieces of other characters, and maybe he was just fixing up a broken character to work or function as it would by default.
He didn't say that he used completed characters. Maybe if he could specify what he did and what he used, we could offer better suggestions.

okay
example 1 (GotenGT character addon): while charging his energy beam attack, the camera angle changes to looking at the front of him and up.
example 2 (Frieza Form 1): while using the rapid fire death ray, every time a shot is fired the camera will go to a set position and then change back to where it was

That's definitely an issue with the addons. Normal revision 1536 doesn't have this.

I haven't used either of those. Maybe you could do a clean install and install one of those addons, make sure they are installed correctly, and test it. If one works, then compare the archives and their structures to make sure they don't overwrite each other.
Oh, and did you possibly download a modded version of the camera? As in, one that allows you to show your attack from a different perspective?
If you can, list all of the archives you downloaded (and installed) by name and extension. You may have some sort of conflict between addons.

I just discovered that was happening with 1732
yes I'm aware it's not a stable build but there has to be a reason it is happening

Yes, there is. The camera in 1732 is being re-done, and because of that, it acts like that. In 1732, MDaveUK added animated camera, which means you can make your own camera angles and movements in any 3D program. Basically, it allows for certain scenes from the anime to be in ZEQ2lite (Galick gun VS Kamehameha, Final Flash, etc..)

this is already fixed in the latest revition cause the camera angle that they used solved it I know this cause I done the same thing for my pack and no more camera angle bugs

thank you very much.
now, you say the movements are done in a 3D program, is it possible for me to edit these out or would the effort not be worth it?
or is there a command to disable the active camera function

I'm not sure about the command. It should be in options somewhere. As for editing, yes of course! That is why it was created in the first place. If you have a 3D editing program (such as 3dsmax, blender, Maya, etc..) you can easily edit how the camera moves.

two more questions for you, Mima.
1) what would I be looking for to change
2) would it break the file if I removed the function in the character?

1) The thing you would want to edit is camera.md3. Check it out in tier1 folder.
2) I don't think you can break anything. So just experiment, and share your results.

Don't take my answer as definite, so backup the file before you do what I'm suggesting...
I'm pretty sure that if you removed that, either you'd have to edit some other file or files to prevent breaking it, or the camera will revert to a default camera, much like there are default tiers for characters without custom tiers.
I'd suggest poking around the character folder in question if the camera doesn't have a default setting. Most unrecognizable file extensions can be edited with a text editor, such as Notepad.
