Calling others lacking traitors is not the way to handle such a petty thing, especially because you or anyone else isn't on any "team" here. If you, by some miracle were some member of the non-existent developer team for ZEQ2-lite, then you could call Najeeb(if he was also a member on our imaginary team) a traitor.

If you still insist on name-calling, I suggest you start by learning modeling or coding, joining the ZEQ2 Unity team, getting me or Harri to vote on Earth Special Forces then calling us a traitor

ZEQ2-lite being the best open source project isn't true either, looking at it's popularity compared to that of other projects.

I think what Brad is saying is don't vote for either because they aren't original or complete projects. Obviously, he values unique ideas while also satisfying his conditions as a game or mod of a game.

I agree with his logic. Unfortunately, I had already voted for both without really checking for more suitable candidates.

look I'm really getting annoyed and angry now , its my loving choice , I don't care if its original or not , all I care about is they are giving me an awesome Dragon Ball game and working their buttocks off , so I think they deserve it , its my opinion just like brads OPINION to not to vote for them

Not my opinion. You simply still just don't get it.

You create far too many negative implications and complications by trying to generalize everything as just being "a matter of opinion". If you don't have the intellect or endurance to argue valid points, that's fine, but you are NOT getting anywhere trying to justify anything you do as being difference in opinion.

If a debate goes sour or someone says something against your perceptions, najeeb, justify and analyze your/their views rather than ignorantly chalk it up as some magically accepted all-encompassing classification.

Don't oversimplify. I never said that in the slightest.

The purpose for modDB's top 'whatever' events are to help escalate and promote projects that are bettering genres/ideas -- often providing respectable community services/tools/experiences in new ways. While current Dragon Ball Z projects may diverge slightly from existing genre norms, they are hardly pushing new plateaus or redefining the way we play games on a whole.

Earth Special Forces appears to aim as a solid graphical/mechanical fighter while ZEQ2-lite offers a wealth of accuracy-oriented & customization possibilities; however, even if both projects were one and the same their combined contributions would be minimal (unless abstracted) due to the limitations of the enclosed topic.

Debate isn't the same as arguing. Debate is merely conveying your point using logic, and you can even use this to merely inform us as to WHY you do something, and not just say, "I wanted to."

It isn't to say whose point is more valid. It's a way to voice yourself in a way that is productive, intelligent, and professional.

The only time I invoke a debate is when someone makes a remark that is obviously bias, close-minded, or absolute in some regard. If you do not wish to have these kinds of discussions pop up every other post, then it might be wise not to make one-sided comments without providing substantiation supporting your claims.

This is something that's critically important in communication exchanges, Najeeb. If you have any conversation with someone (in real life or on the internet), you have to be able to explain what it is you are trying to convey else your words have no weight.

For instance if you told me that your car was the best in the world and I asked "Why's that?", you cannot simply respond with "Because that's my opinion". Not only does it make you look like an imbecile on the spot, it suggests that you are the type of person to make unfounded comments on a whim in topics you are likely inexperienced. Your credibility as a person is instantly damaged and others would be less inclined to converse or believe future remarks you made as a result.

I try not to either, but we're still young, and it's going to be a little harder not to debate things you don't know about just because it's not a good idea. Informativeness isn't exactly "fun" at this stage of adulthood... It also isn't fast, or easy, but it is rewarding.

I like to think of these debates as part of the learning process, but I think you make the mistake of backing out too late; which leaves your opponent wanting more.

Either way dude, try to vote for something spurred directly from some young developer's imagination, and original. As original as the goal of this project is, it's still made by Akira Toriyama, not us, so it wouldn't be fair to the other devs to vote for ZEQ2-lite or Earth Special Forces.
