False Super Saiyan has been recognized when Goku transformed to it during his fight with Lord Slug. His power was quickly decreasing, giving Lord Slug a huge advantage on him. Goku became enraged with fury, amplifying his powers to incredible new heights during this transformation. His pupils and irises completely vanish and his body bulks up. His hair straightens to some what resemble a Super Saiyan's hairstyle, but doesn't change color, however, giving his black hair some what of a red glow as a reflection of his now yellow aura upon his hair. This yellow aura resembles a Super Saiyan's aura, but has some differences. False Super Saiyan somewhat acts like Goku's Kaioken technique, as it even makes the same sounds of it. A Saiyan transforms to False Super Saiyan when they have the physical power for the actual transformation to Super Saiyan, but not the mental reason to actually complete the transformation. Goku transformed to Super Saiyan when his friend Krillin was killed by Lord Frieza, which enraged him and gave him the reason to make a complete transformation. He now had the physical and mental power to completely transform to his Super Saiyan level. Although Goku fighting Frieza and Goku fighting Lord Slug had different power levels, Goku was ready for his transformation during his fight with Lord Slug, but wasn't given the reason to make a complete transformation. False Super Saiyan takes up more energy to sustain than Super Saiyan.
