Hey, I am not sure where to post this, and I seem to be unable to post in the sections I thought this would fit, so here I go anyways:
I am trying to create some customized tiers on the game's character. As in adding every form Goku could possibly achieve into one simple character. But I am having some texture issues.
Lets say I have a normal Super Saiyan 3 Goku as tier 3. and I want a tier 4 to look exactly the same as this Super Saiyan 3 in model, but I want him to have red hair, eyes and attire. (Yes this is an strange example)
I can't seem to get it done. I have tried anything I could find on the internet, but no results. If I need to use any modelling software, no problem I have misfit and know how to use it. I also (obviously) have Photoshop for texture editing.
Any help? It would be much appreciated!

Youtube does not have the answers I need. I need to more or less know how I can let the default.skin file use my customized textures. Scince any other "method" I could find seems to be lacking in identifiable function.

Look, all I want is to make a Super Saiyan-5 tier that uses

Instead of the default previous tier

And the youtube video that gives me the closest explanation I could find is https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dWpm_tunmSs And that video does not give me any clue on how to make my idea work. (Well, it gave me some but they failed)
My last try was adding gokuUpperBody,players/GokuAF/gokuADSSJ6BodySkin.jpg To the Defaultskin file, but along with every other try it failed. Please, if you say that it is so easy, at least give me something clear to go on

it should work perfectly but if you changed the name
of the texture then you need to make the script and edit Default.
Yes, it works perfectley when I just edit those files. But since the previous tier on this character used those original files, I had to make new files with different names.
So could you please point me in the right direction to "making the script". Since that is the first time I head about some script the entire time I have been searching for solutions. (So that would probably be why my attempts failed)
When I know how to do that, I think I can work out how to use the default.skin with the new script.

He is not, but the person responding was. Up'd the punishment this time around for creating duplicate users.

Ideally what you'll want to do is simply create new shaders for your skin file in tier4. If the models are the same, you shouldn't need to duplicate/modify anything as it should use the last specified tier models (if I remember how I designed it, at least).
In your case, it's purely a texture change for the tier so you can accomplish this by duplicating the existing shaders for your previous tier (check the ZEQ2\scripts folder and find the relative character file) and then changing the textures to your needs. After that, just alter your .skin file to use those shaders by name.

Thank you very much Zeth, this explanation was exactly what I needed. I didn“t know about the scripts folder and now I do. Well, time to make some customized characters
