not a complete smart idea Ignore all the older stuff Ravven.. I know already that you and Zeth think that is only the Buu saga to take as reference for the drawing style.. but why only that? if the cellsaga and movie 4 to 9 are great too.. I personally take the whole Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z as reference.. is also important understand how the drawings envolve their styles and choose the more effective between them..
not all from the Buu saga as style is definitely better than the other sagas.. for example Piccolo,,Piccolo lose much personality in the Buu saga,as character as drawing style too..

I have refs,but I have more refs from cell and frieza saga, if you want..

(edit at least I feel your idea Right) about the muscle definition in Buu saga,one of the better thing of the Buu saga..
and you got already from these 2 packs..
I can see good biceps,triceps,forearms and deltoids.. good definition ..
for the legs in Buu saga we can see Olibu in other world,Janemba demon, Gohan in Great Saiyaman Costume,the same Vegeta.. but if you will see the Super Vegeta and Super Trunks,and also Goku in cell saga armour you will take a more complete idea..Wink

You misunderstand, Nello. It's not that we are using the Buu saga because we think it is the best or most accurate choice. That would just be us using preference. In an ideal development environment with a lot of capable artists, a truly accurate Dragon Ball Z game would model/texture unique versions of EACH character, aura, and effects on a per-saga/artist basis. That's the overall end-goal if we ever do have the manpower.

Since we presently do not have enough resources (and artist sanity) to execute that, we went with an accurate representation from a single saga (for consistency) until we do.

Now you might argue that doing Saiyan Saga outfits/presentations in Buu Saga style is a conflict of our goals, but technically Buu Saga drawing styles DID exist for the Saiyan Saga in the form of flashbacks -- so we ARE preserving an in-series reflection of accuracy.

Focusing a single saga/style for deployment lets us focus on back-end systems, mechanics, and overall composure without having to worry about art conflict issues. As has been done with ZEQ2-lite over time since it's release to the public, per-saga versions of each character can always be created later to form-fit accuracy standards much better.
