Perhaps you could go into some technical explanations of the process you used, franco. If this were done realistically, I'd assume you'd start with an Android port of Quake 3 and diff over the engine changes (outline, bloom, network, etc.) from ZEQ2-lite. The game code qvms could probably be used as is, of course.
The Bid For Power map makes sense due to the low requirements to run it. The number of overlay controls is obviously a bit unrealistic to play such a product, of course.

I'm not too familiar with porting the Quake 3 based games to the Android in general, but there should be a way to pass accelerometer and swipe/gesture-based interface options along to the engine, isn't there? Would help reduce the clutter of buttons on the screen there.
Otherwise, the only practical way to play with that many on-screen buttons would be on a tablet with a significantly larger screen compared to a phone, otherwise your thumbs will be in the way of everything.

If you read the description, you'll notice that the person who posted that video said that was all caused by a glitch, as in it wasn't intended to do that. Typically, glitches such as that aren't easy to reproduce unless you know what caused them to begin with, and since the code involved in that mess is never being released, recreating it would be harder.
Of course, you could study the video and try to figure out how to recreate the effect with out it being a "glitch" by making functions that specifically mimic that video's appearance, but that assumes you know how to program such a thing in the first place.
