Greetings.
I'm Yank, most known as SaskSlayer. I am a young programmer, and this is my first post here. Here I'm asking for some tips hosting a server on linux (ubuntu 12.04).
My linux machine has 128 mbs of ram and 1 core.
Actually I have four little questions, to use addons like custom character I might have them on the server too ?
64~96 megs of hunk ram thingy is enought for a dedicated server with 18 player slots ?
Am I able to use something like server plugins ? I would like to expand my server gameplay
And am I able to have a server banner like I do with my other Counter Strike 2D servers here ?
So, that's it, thanks.

1 thing, I have 2.3 ghz and 3go ram and when there's action on multi I have some fps decrease, so 18 players... I think it's too much for little config (if you mind them)
ZEQ2 doesn't have plugins (the "game" isn't even finished...)
For banners I don't know :\ ask this to someone else.
Hope I helped

I don't think that you understand the dedicated server theory but anyways, thanks a lot.
First of all, the dedicated server client isn't supposed to have something like FPS since it uses no graphical environments. So, there's no images, graphics, etc, just a console window, or a terminal.
Also, do you know what a VPS is ? Or did you used one before ?

Nono *intense laughter* I talked for other players *intense laughter* if I go on your serv being almost full of players I'll have lags + fps decrease
I know you can have no difficulties to run it but a good server is a server where everyone can play with less problem as possible
it's almost like if you open a quakIII, q3ut4... server
I think vps is for voice tchat (if I remember good)

Stop, you do not know what you're talking about... You don't even know what a VPS and a dedicated server is.
But anyway, thanks a lot for trying to help me.

Fortunately you was wrong. It seems that we are able to modify the game like we are using plugins, with custom qvm files. I have to read more about it.

So, do it. There's actually no plug in for ZEQ2-lite.
But I haven't told it was improbable.
