My brother finished the story mod yesterday, near level 50. Seems like the Super Saiyan 2 is bloppity blip bloop with ultimate attacks.

Wasn't the hardest. Won't spoil.
by the way, in an offline (and out of story) mission you can fight against Vegetto. Don't remember the name but the main opponents are Ginyu, Piccolo, Gotenks and Goku (hope I haven't forgotten one. (and the secondary ones, frieza, ultimate Gohan, Vegeta Super Saiyan 2 and Vegetto)
You can gain Vegetto outfits, big bang kamehameha and few other items/skills.
