It's a messy monotonous brushwork...

My suggestion lay off the brushes completely, it creates bad working habits with Photoshop and doesn't teach you much in the process. Also, the hard contrast hurts the eyes, you should use softer colors and make it less contrasted.

I can understand the whole red palette you're going for, but I think the overall consensus with the responses so far is that you should probably infuse it with some color (at least by the members who didn't enjoy it).

I think the contrast issue is actually more of a shade falloff issue. You actually need MORE contrast through either a smaller color pallete to distinguish boundries more clearly, or some form of subtletly on your objects to give focal points -- places where the eye can travel and rest. I understand this is overall difficult for a "grunge" piece. However, even in noise styled arts, focus points and contrast elements are needed.

Keep it up and see where you go.
