It's Starcraft's turn  they made Diablo 2 after Starcraft, it's only fair. I almost creamed myself when a few of my friends who were at the GDC told me about the rumors of Starcraft 2. Then I heard Blizzard had some big announcement this month and was overwhelmed.

Never been much of a Starcraft fan myself. I heard they were doing another one a month or two ago (and I don't mean SC:Ghost, was that ever released?) but rumours were saying it was likely to be an MMORPG, which wouldn't have been a surprise given their success with WoW, to be honest. Glad to see them finally going back to their roots, though, they used to be one of my favourite developers but lost all interest in them since they've seemingly only been doing WoW for years.

SC:Ghost was put on hold (pretty much indefinitely). Blizzard said it was due to all the next gen systems coming out and I guess they wanted to let things pan out, but everyone knows they were having problems finding the right developer's. I believe they went through 2 or 3 studios before actually putting it on hold.

I never really liked Starcraft either, thus this news isn't that great for me.
I checked some screenshots and I'm waiting for the ingame footage that they release tomorrow on the website, but I don't think it'll thrill me as much as a Diablo 3 or a Warcraft 4 would.

*laughing out loud*, I think you're confusing it with 'Starfox'.
Which was a game with a fox, not a wolf
And starCRAFT is more like a warcraft in space/future.
