What do you think guys about new movie ?! There was rumours for 2 or 3 years but now it's quite serious. It will be live action movie of course.
On IGN.com there is recent news about it, check it out -> http://movies.ign.com/articles/835/835143p1.html.
They said that Justin Chatwin will play as Goku and James Marsters as Piccolo, James Wong will direct film.
I think from this 3 names director is the best choice, I don't really know who are these two actors. I will definitely go watch this film, but I hope I will not have to escape from cinema :O

Justin Chatwin played the son of Tom Cruise's character in World Of The Worlds and has also made appearences in Lost and Small Ville, among other shows.
James Marsters played Spike, one of the main Vampire enemies (and later allies) in Buffy The Vampire Slayer, along with making appearences in Angel. Marsters is a superb choice for Piccollo, in my opinion.

By the looks of the synopsis at imdb, it will be based on Dragon Ball, not Dragon Ball Z. Or, rather, it'll be based on the start of the manga (as there's only one manga series, but the anime was split into Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z), so I doubt it'll have Raditz, Vegeta, Nappa, Freeza and the like in it, but more focussed around younger Goku, Bulma, Yamcha, Piccollo, Roshi and so forth.

If Picollo is making an appearance it should be at the end of the young Goku part of Dragonball.
But somehow I doubt they'll follow the series very well... I think it'll be a new story with elements of the original one.

I'm somehow sure that SSJ will appear. At the very least in some sequel.
And I'm quite positive there'll be a sequel. Making trilogies has become some kind of a trend in today's film industry.

You think those greedy capitalist pigs of filmmakers give the slightest damn about some witty thing like continuity of the original series? I don't think so 
They'll most likely focus on what's the most appealing to the general public, not DBZ fanboys/fangirls.
